Jilly comes home tonight and so does Rosie! I’m sure they both had fun and I kind of wish we had gone on a trip but it was also fun just hanging out and not doing much. I worked on my jump shots and foul shots at the Y and saw Mark and Tyler a couple of times.

I actually ran into both of them at the mall on Thursday. They were with their dance dates. Mark acted all weird when he saw me, introducing Danielle and making sure I knew they were just friends. As if I care! Okay, so I was kind of glad which I know is totally lame because I don’t like like him and he can like whoever her wants.

It was pretty obvious that Tyler and Sasha (can you believe that name???) like each other. She grabbed his hand when they were walking away (I confess to looking over my shoulder at them, just to see). Mark was NOT holding Danielle’s hand.

 

Tuesday, March 25

Hoops was fun. I guess Tyler kind of likes the girl who asked him to the dance. I don’t know if they are officially “going out” but he was late because they were emailing or something. Mark acted totally cool so the friend thing is working out well. That’s what I want, to just be friends with him and with Tyler.

Jilly is freaking because Bus Boy has only called her once in AZ. Hello? He’s in California on spring break, too! They are doing all the theme parks so it’s not like he can call her every second, especially because he got grounded from his cell phone so he has to use his mom’s whenever he wants to call her, which means he has to ask her so he’s probably kind of embarrassed. Hopefully she gets over that soon.

 

Monday, March 24

First day of spring break! Jilly and her family went to AZ, Rosie went to Florida, but Mark and Tyler are around. We are going to shoot hoops tomorrow. Today it’s kind of rainy so I’m reading and watching movies. Chris went over to a friend’s house.

 

Saturday, March 22

Jilly had a blast at the dance. I guess everyone did. Mark and I talked a couple of times since he couldn’t go. I guess the girl that asked Mark still had a lot of fun and danced with some other guys who were there with a bunch of friends.

Sure sounded like fun. Who knows? Maybe I’ll go next year.

 

Friday, March 21

Jilly looked AMAZING in her dress. I took lots of pictures and stayed at her house until her parents drove her to the dance. She’s meeting Bus Boy there. They don’t do a dinner before thing like they do at homecoming and prom in high school, which is good. Jilly doesn’t like to eat in front of boys she likes. She’s afraid she’ll get something stuck in her teeth, or forget to chew with her mouth closed or whatever.

OMG. Mark just IMed that he has strep! He’s not going to the dance. So he and I will both be sitting home (at our own houses), hanging out while our other friends go. Rosie went to her aunt’s for the weekend (she was asked to the dance by TWO guys but had already had this weekend family thing).

I feel bad for the girl who asked Mark. Jilly said she is totally in love with him and I’m sure she is really bummed out. I guess she’s still going with some friends but it won’t be the same. Leave it to Jilly to have all of this information when it just happened! The girl is an info magnet.

Of course, she might have more fun with just her friends. Sometimes when you’re with someone you are totally in love with, it can be awkward and scary because you’re afraid of saying or doing something stupid. But maybe that’s just me. She probably would have been just fine.
